K folks...
Just been thinking....
We find a five fold ministry in the New Testament that does not include music....
But so many music types take upon themselves the name of minister of music or music pastor and the list gets creative....
I am arriving at a new conclusion.....
Music is not a ministry....
It is a manner of worship and a most vital one....
I would hate to not have it in the church....
But when we give ministry status to music we are creating something that God never intended.....
Lucifer exalted himself in heaven......
And it seems that so many music people have exalted themselves....
Or let some insecure preacher guy exalt them because he wants to have the same stuff he saw somewhere else....
Who do I point the finger at with these random thoughts....
Pastors!!!
Too many of us have relied on good music people to make services happen for us instead of our praying and fasting and having something to bring to the people...
So we find some good professional worshipper to make music and get the folks excited.....
We pastors have relied on the musical types to create a worshipful atmosphere and allowed that to substitute or synthesize the will of God in our churches....
Thank the Lord for good music and singers....
However....
The Music Ministry cannot be found in the New Testament church.....
The Ministry That Never Was.....

I agree. As of late it seems that there is a lot of this occuring in churches all around us. I hate to say it but the charismatic movement is in full force. Fortunately there are still some good preachers that relies on God's annointing in the WORD. I like you love the music, but I hunger for His word.
