The following is an excerpt from dialogue with some United Pentecostal Church International ministers earlier today. The subject was change, and my thoughts below I share with you.
Now none can deny a rapidly shifting culture...
But in all reality beyond technological advances we are really kinda like we always were.....
Sin will not change......
Nor will the definition of sin.....
No matter how popular the guy is that wants to "turn the grace of God into lasciviousness"
You boys that beat the change drum really must understand that nothing really changes and you in your youthfulness are but seeing the same things cycle by again......
35 years ago the preachers were crying out because we had some girls wearing minidresses and cutting their hair.....
Look around and the past repeats itself.....
We have had preachers backsliding and going the other direction for generations.....
This was even going on back in the NT.........
You youthful change drum beaters need but cool your jets and enjoy you laptops while they last for they will one day be gone as well.....
Heaven and earth will pass away but the Word of God will not......
And those principles continue on unchanged......
And there will be lovers of truth....
There will also be lovers of them ownselves....
There will be those who manipulate the grace of God to their advantage......
There will be those who are nothing but ticklers of the itching ear.....
There will be those who forsake their first love....
There will be those who love this present world.....
There will be those who choose to believe lies and be damned because the Lord will turn them over to the delusion of the lies they love......
There will be those Annanias and Sapphiras who lie about their business.....
Sceva still is having sons......
But all in all things of the Kingdom will remain the same and the beaters of the drum of change view life but in the narrowest of their personal agendas.....
And things will continue....
We heard that TV was the answer to winning the masses and we could not wait a single day or they would all be lost....
Where are the masses won?
Where are the campaigns and blitzes into those high rise buildings.....
And we are about to lose that crowd who was the loudest for this absolute needed change.....
And as usual.....
Nothing really changed and now we see unbudding the truth that TV and souls in high rise buildings were never really the issue....
They were just the propaganda tool.....
And nothing changes......
Each of us should just keep praying and fasting and preaching and loving the souls we encounter for one day soon the real change will take place and all these mundane debates will be forgotten.....

Kent, this is so true and so good.
All I can say is I must be saved and hope to God that all my family will be also..... The end is so near. I've seen a lot of things come and go in my life of 63 years being raised in the UPCI. God is Faithful and "everything that can be shaken will be shaken"!
love you and please don't let up on preaching the truth and loving people! What do we have if we have a BIG crowd but no one ready to go to Heaven?
