Love, Loyalty, Longevity, Legacy

Sleep decided to visit someone else besides me tonight….

And at midnight I bleached the porches and sidewalks and pondered…..

Pondered these last few days…..

Pondered the loss of Annaleigh…..

Pondered my incredible family……

Tracie who is strong during this season of the broken heart…..

Trent & Calah and their devotion to make sure Redonia, Tracie and me are all OK…..

Ponder Redonia, the mother of our now deceased baby, as she stands strong and makes me proud of her poise during such a terrible loss..

And I ponder the unbelievably incredible CUPC family, www.conroeupc.org

Love: you have shown unbelievable love by just being there for us these last few days….

Love that prompted personal time & finance to be poured upon Tracie and me….

Love that changed light bulbs, fixtures, toilet seats and I do not know what all else….

Love that called house cleaners, a/c repairmen, aerobic technicians, re-varnished the front door, shopped for groceries, put cash in my pocket, three men were my escort around town for a day, cleaned my garage, hauled out garbage, cooked and fed us enough to give Dr. Atkins a heart attack,…..

Love that told me to get out of the way and let them do what they wanted and refused a cent in return for hundreds and probably thousands of dollars worth of maintenance….

Loyalty; that immeasurable quality so seldom found today but for some reason it poured from you like a fountain…..

Loyalty that has cause them to rise up and say “no more” to the enemy who indeavored to destroy and break their pastor’s spirit….

Longevity that speaks for itself, for they stayed when the battle was hot and pledged to stay when the battle was but history…..

Legacy…..

Legacy of an fully thriving Apostolic Church that operates with Apostolic Authority and humility….

Legacy that says, pastor you keep preaching and we will keep finding new ones to pray through……

Legacy that says, Pastor we develop them so good that we build more than one church at a time, and we will do it with class……

Legacy birthed from weeks and months of prayer together seeking His face…..

Legacy resurrected in the Spirit of Ruth when she said, I go where you go and I sleep where you sleep, your people are my people and that Jehovah God guy might as well be my God as well…..

Legacy of continuance after so many casualties of this war of the Spirit….

Legacy of wisdom that came to understand that we war not against flesh and blood or people and personalities, but spirits of darkness……..

So as I pondered sleep came and I awoke long before sunlight….

Awoke in-chair…..

With the peace and comfort of the Holy Ghost……

With renewed faith that Love, Loyalty & Longevity have created a Legacy of peace and strength within my spirit for the coming emotions of my farewell to sweet Annaleigh….

Even in these wee hours……

I feel His presence for he has drawn near…….

My soul responds to his nearness…..

My inner man communicates with his creator…..

My tears are not of sadness….

Rather they are tears produced by…..

Produced by Love….

Off-sprung by Loyalty……

Insured by Longevity……..

And never to be forgotten…….

Tears of a Legacy……

Pastor Smith,
Your writings are so beautiful and eloquent. I am still praying for Redonia and your entire family. I am saddened that this has happened to such great people. When I saw you in Pappdeaux's the other day, I was impressed with Redonia's, yours and Sis. Smith's strength and grace. Though my daughter went to CCS, we have never attended your church. However, I want to attend soon to learn more about this awesome church family you have. We continue to go before the Lord in prayer for your family.
